Common use of Public and Designated Holidays Clause in Contracts

Public and Designated Holidays. 5.1.1 Employees are entitled to the public holidays specified in the Holidays Act 2003. 5.1.2 In addition to the public holidays, employees are entitled to the day after Boxing Day or the first weekday in lieu as a designated holiday. 5.1.3 Entitlement to a public or designated holiday exists where it falls on a day which would otherwise be a working day for the employee.
