Public Employees Retirement Association. (PERA) 4.1.1 The City shall continue to contribute seventy five percent (75%) of the employee contributions to the PERA plan based on the contribution rates in effect prior to July 1, 2013. It is understood between the parties that the employee contribution increase of one and one half percent (1.5% ) enacted by the New Mexico State Legislature on July 1, 2013 will remain at the exclusive expense of the employee until otherwise negotiated. If a new plan affecting employees is adopted by the New Mexico Legislature, the parties recognize that the employee contributions are a legitimate subject of bargaining.
