Common use of Public Office Leave Clause in Contracts

Public Office Leave. The Board shall grant a leave of absence of one school semester, or a combination of continuous school semesters, not to exceed one school year, without pay or fringe benefits to any administrator to campaign for himself or serve in an elective public office. The request for such leave shall be submitted at least sixty (60) days prior to the start of the school year or the second semester, whichever is to be first affected by such request. The Board will, upon written request, grant one (1), one year renewal of this leave.
