Public Office. The Employer recognizes the right of employees to participate in public affairs. Therefore, upon written request at the time of the issuance of the writ for election, the Employer will grant full-time leave of absence without pay and without loss of accumulation of seniority to a regular full-time or regular part-time employee who is a candidate in a Federal, Provincial or Municipal election.
