Pumping and Draining. The Contractor shall provide and maintain a temporary drainage system and pumping equipment as required to keep all excavation areas within the Site free from water from any source. As the Work progresses, all water shall be removed from basement areas, tunnels, pits, trenches and similar areas as required for proper performance of the Work and to prevent damage to any part of the construction utility. Permanent sump pumps shall not be used for this purpose; however, the Contractor may install temporary pumps in the sump pits until the permanent pumps are installed, providing that it cleans sump pits and drain lines satisfactorily after temporary use. The Contractor shall provide and maintain all pumping and draining equipment as required for the installation of all underground piping and utility conduit systems. Pumping and draining shall be performed in a manner to avoid endangering concrete footings or any adjacent construction or property. Such methods shall be subject to the review of the Design Professional.

Pumping and Draining. A. The CONTRACTOR shall remove, by pumping or draining, any water which may accumulate in the trenches and other excavations and shall build all dams and do all other work necessary to keep the trenches or other excavation as free from water as possible. Where it is impractical to completely drain the trench, special pipe or jointing materials may be authorized at no additional expense to the OWNER. While the pipelines are being laid, the CONTRACTOR shall have sufficient pumping machinery ready for immediate use. All surface waters shall be prevented from entering the open ditches or excavations by proper grading of the surface in the vicinity of the excavation. Erosion and sediment control shall be exercised in accordance with the approved plan. Under no circumstances shall any pumped water be discharged to any sanitary sewer.

  • Irrigation The City shall provide water to the Premises for the purpose of irrigating the facility. The City specifically reserves the right to restrict water usage under this Agreement if water restrictions are placed on other water users within the City. Prior to the start of the season, City will provide charge up and run through the automatic irrigation systems to check for proper operation. City will provide Lessee with a radio for remote operation of the irrigation system, which Lessee shall use for the day to day maintenance, repair, and monitoring of the irrigation system. If the radio is lost, stolen, broken, or is rendered unusable, Lessee shall pay $1500 for the replacement radio. City is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the following irrigation elements, to the extent applicable: curb stops, backflow prevention devices, backflow enclosures, main line pipings, electric control valves, and controllers. Lessee shall notify Parks Division Water managers by email if any of these irrigation elements are malfunctioning or broken.

  • Indoor Air Quality The Employer shall ensure a healthful air quality and attempt to ensure comfortable air temperature in buildings it owns and in space that it leases.

  • Bullying and Harassment Neither DFMC nor you will engage in behaviour that is, or may be reasonably considered to be, intimidating, bullying or harassing or commit any act or behaviour which is offensive or abusive in connection with this Contract. If you are in breach of this clause, DFMC may suspend the collection of your milk for a period of 5 days or until such time as DFMC determines (acting reasonably) that the behaviour has been rectified.
