Qualifying Period on Promotions and Transfers. ‌ If an employee is promoted or transferred to a vacant position, then the employee shall be considered a qualifying employee in her/his new position and will not be required to serve a probationary period. A qualifying employee shall be subject to a thirty (30) day qualifying period. In the event that a qualifying employee fails to pass the qualifying period, the employee shall be returned to their former position.
