Quality Control Plan. The Contractor’s or Subcontractor’s quality control plans cover inspection and test proposals for items or activities to be supplied as part of the service. The quality control plan indicates the following as appropriate: - The identification of the item. - A list of the sequence of operations including inspections and tests. - The identification of the specification, drawings or procedures for each operation. - The acceptance criteria with reference to the appropriate technical specification, in-house, national or international standard and relevant clause number. - The inspections and tests the Contractor has nominated for hold and witness points. - Provision for inspections and tests nominated by the Service Manager. - Provision for inspection status indication. - Inspection and test records which are generated by the Contractor. - Competence of the people-Level II welding inspector, Coded welders, N3 Fitters /Boiler makers - Personnel qualifications from approved training and accredited institute - ITPs and welding procedures - Material certificates - Organogram indicating the quality person and his/her duties - Adhere to the QM58 - Follow the Eskom welding rule book The quality control plans are reviewed by the Service Manager to allow for insertion of his specific requirements, including hold and witness points, prior to commencement of work. The Contractor does not commence work until the Service Manager accepts. The Contractor shall comply with: a) The Occupational Health and Safety Xxx, 0000, and all Regulations made there under. b) All Employer Safety and Operating Procedures, which are attached hereto. The Contractor acknowledges that he is fully aware of the requirements of all the above and undertakes to employ only people who have been duly authorised in terms thereof and who have received sufficient safety training to ensure that they can comply therewith. The Contractor undertakes not to do, or not to allow anything to be done which will contravene any of the provisions of the Act, Regulations or Safety and Operating Procedures. The Contractor shall appoint a person who will liaise with the Employer Safety Officer responsible for the premises relevant to this contract. The person so appointed shall on request: a) Supply the Employer Safety Officer with copies of minutes of all Health and Safety Committee meetings, whenever he is required to do so. b) Supply the Employer Safety Officer with copies of all appointments in respect of employees employed on this contract, in terms of the Act and Regulations and shall advise the Employer Safety Officer of any changes thereto. a) Do safety audits at the Contractor's premises, its work places and on its employees. b) Refuse any employees, sub-Contractor or agent of the Contractor access to its premises if such person has been found to commit any unlawful act or any unsafe working practice or is found to be not authorised or qualified in terms of the Act.

Quality Control Plan. (QCP)
1. The Contractor’s or Subcontractor’s Consultant agrees to perform quality control plans cover inspection and test proposals for items or activities assurance-quality control/ constructability reviews in accordance with the Consultant's Quality Control Plan (QCP) to be supplied as part developed in the format described in Attachment 4 and at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/sites/default/files/files/Attachment_4_QCP.pdf. The approved QCP will be incorporated by reference and will include any subsequent revisions approved by Owner. In addition to providing the reports required by the QCP, the Consultant agrees to address any QCP comments from the Owner and provide resolution to the Owner's satisfaction. In the event the Owner retains a separate consultant to perform additional QCP services for the Owner, the Consultant will provide all necessary information to the Owner, address any comments from the Owner's consultant, and provide resolution to the Owner's satisfaction. The Consultant shall include this language in all its Subconsultant contracts to ensure Subconsultants understand their responsibility for complying with the Owner's or Owner's consultant's QCP requirements.
2. The QCP reviews will be performed by a staff member of the serviceConsultant not involved in day-to-day Project tasks. If the Consultant does not have the internal staff capacity to provide for this independent review, the Consultant must include a QCP Subconsultant on the Project team. The quality control plan indicates person performing the following as appropriate: - The identification of QCP reviews shall certify, seal and attest that the item. - A list of final construction bid documents have been drafted in full compliance with the sequence of operations including inspections and tests. - The identification of the specification, drawings or procedures for each operation. - The acceptance criteria with reference to the appropriate technical specification, in-house, national or international standard and relevant clause number. - The inspections and tests the Contractor has nominated for hold and witness points. - Provision for inspections and tests nominated by the Service Manager. - Provision for inspection status indication. - Inspection and test records which are generated by the Contractor. - Competence of the people-Level II welding inspector, Coded welders, N3 Fitters /Boiler makers - Personnel qualifications from approved training and accredited institute - ITPs and welding procedures - Material certificates - Organogram indicating the quality person and his/her duties - Adhere to the QM58 - Follow the Eskom welding rule book The quality control plans are reviewed by the Service Manager to allow for insertion of his specific requirements, including hold and witness points, prior to commencement of workQCP.
3. The Contractor does not commence work until Consultant will perform QCP reviews at intervals during the Service Manager accepts. The Contractor shall comply with:
a) The Occupational Health and Safety Xxxdesign phase, 0000specified in the QCP, to ensure plans, specifications, and all Regulations made there under.
b) All Employer Safety drawings satisfy accepted quality standards and Operating Procedures, which are attached hereto. The Contractor acknowledges that he is fully aware of meet the requirements of all the above Project scope. Based on the findings of the QCP reviews, the Consultant must reconcile the Project scope and undertakes to employ only people who have been duly authorised budget as needed. Documentation will be included that verifies interdisciplinary coordination has occurred.
4. The Consultant will perform constructability reviews, using persons with construction experience, at appropriate intervals, during the design phase, specified in terms thereof and who have received sufficient safety training the QCP to ensure that they can comply therewiththe Project is buildable, as well as cost-effective, biddable, and maintainable. Based on the findings of the constructability reviews, the Consultant shall redesign the Project, as required, to conform to the Fixed Construction Budget as described in Section III. The Contractor undertakes not Consultant will provide interim construction estimates to do, or not to allow anything to be done which will contravene any verify that the Project is within the Fixed Construction Budget as further described in the phase descriptions in the Supplemental Terms and Conditions of this Agreement.
5. Acceptance and/or approval of the provisions Consultant's QCP documentation by the Owner do not constitute a release of the Act, Regulations or Safety responsibilities and Operating Procedures. The Contractor shall appoint a person who will liaise with liability of the Employer Safety Officer responsible Consultant for the premises relevant to this contract. The person so appointed shall on request:
a) Supply the Employer Safety Officer with copies accuracy and competency of minutes of all Health its QCP reviews and Safety Committee meetings, whenever he is required to do sofinal construction documents.
b) Supply the Employer Safety Officer with copies of all appointments in respect of employees employed on this contract, in terms of the Act and Regulations and shall advise the Employer Safety Officer of any changes thereto.
