Railroad Crossings. Each driver must make a full stop at all railroad crossings, except that no stop is necessary at any railroad crossing where a police officer, New York City Department of Transportation traffic control officer, or a traffic control signal directs traffic to proceed.

Railroad Crossings. No street dedications will be accepted which require a crossing of a railroad unless sufficient land as determined by the City Council is dedicated to insure a safe view.

2) If the developer constructs a wider street than required by the City, there shall be no City participation in the cost of the crossing through the extra width, unless specifically authorized by City Council.
Railroad Crossings. A. Whenever the work involves construction with which railroad companies are concerned, the performance of the work is contingent upon arrangements with the railroad companies for the proposed construction.
1. The performance of the work shall be in accord with arrangements established by the Contracting Authority. The Contractor may make additional arrangements.
2. No claim will be allowed for loss or damage caused by failure of the railroad to comply with provisions of the agreement with the Contracting Authority. Upon notice given, the Contracting Authority will institute necessary legal action to enforce the conditions of its agreement with the railroad company.
Railroad Crossings. As a part of the Project, an existing Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad spur is being eradicated by the Secretary and a new one constructed as shown on Exhibit 2.

Railroad Crossings. Currently, train events actuate the railroad vehicular gates to be lowered in order to prevent vehicles from approaching the track crossings on the west and south legs. Each track crossing has two quadrant vehicular gates. The crossings are equipped with automatic flashing lights (AFLS), gates, bells, and cantilevers. The west leg railroad crossing’s existing minimum track clear distance (MTCD) is 83.0 feet and the clear storage distance (CSD) is 67.4 feet. The south leg railroad crossing’s existing minimum track clear distance (MTCD) is 82.2 feet and the clear storage distance (CSD) is 77.6 feet.

Railroad Crossings. In Segment 1, NCC will cross the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad between Roselle Avenue and Claus Avenue using a separated-grade structure. The new Xxxxxxxx Road and NCC will be elevated over the BNSF Railroad and Terminal Avenue with separate overhead structures. The BNSF Railroad and Terminal Avenue will remain at their current alignment. The existing Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) between Xxxxx Road and SR 108 (XxXxxxx Avenue) is an abandoned line crossing existing SR 219 (Xxxxxxx Avenue). Tracks associated with this railroad line were removed as part of Caltrans’ SR 219 (Xxxxxxx Avenue) Widening Project that completed construction in October 2015. NCC will cross the Sierra Railroad at approximately 1 mile north of Xxxxxxx Road and approximately 0.5 mile southwest of the NCC/New Intersection south of SR 108/SR 120. At this railroad crossing, NCC will be elevated over the Sierra Railroad with an overhead structure along their current alignment.
