  • Pressing Necessity An Employee shall be granted leave without pay for pressing necessity. Pressing necessity shall be defined as a sudden or unusual occurrence that could not, by the exercise of reasonable judgement, have been foreseen by the Employee and which requires the immediate attention of the Employee. The Employee may elect to use any entitlement to time off such as vacation, public holiday or earned time.

  • Acquainting New Employees 26.01(a) New employees shall be advised of the name of the employee's xxxxxxx and/or Union representative and where practicable provided with an introduction within the first thirty (30) days of employment.

  • RATES FOR NEW JOBS A. When a new job is placed in the unit and cannot be properly placed in an existing classification, the Employer will notify the Union prior to establishing a classification and rate structure. In the event the Union does not agree that the description and rate are proper, it shall be subject to negotiations during the next contract.

  • New Jobs Any new job or jobs created by technological or mechanization changes shall be offered to present employees capable of being trained to perform the new or changed job and the Employer will provide such training. During training, the employee will maintain his/her rate. It is understood that the training herein referred to is on the job and not to exceed sixty (60) days. Certain specialized technical jobs may require additional and off-site training. An employee whose job is eliminated, if any, and who cannot be placed in a job of equal grade shall receive saved grade until such time as that employee fails to bid or apply for a position in the employee’s former wage level. The obligation hereinabove set forth shall not be construed to, in any way, abridge the right of the Employer to make such changes.

  • Opening Negotiations 4.2.1 Between April 1 and April 30 of each ensuing year, either the Association or the Board shall submit a written request for negotiations to commence to the other party, if it desires there to be negotiations for that year. If no such request is made during the time period above, negotiations will not take place for the ensuing year.

  • Term and Reopening Negotiations This Agreement shall remain in full force and effect for a period commencing July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024, and thereafter pursuant to PELRA. If either party desires to modify or amend this Agreement commencing on July 1, 2024, it shall give written notice of such intent no later than May 1, 2024. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, the parties shall not commence negotiations more than ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of this Agreement.

  • ISSUE OF REPLACEMENT NOTES, COUPONS AND TALONS 13.1 The Issuer will cause a sufficient quantity of additional forms of Notes, Coupons and Talons to be available, upon request, to the Agent at its specified office for the purpose of issuing replacement Notes, Coupons and Talons as provided below.
