REINSTATEMENT AFTER LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Upon returning from any leave of absence, the employee shall assume the duties of his/her absented position, provided that during the period of absence there has been no change in the employee's capacity to meet the requirements of the position. 8.19.1 If the position occupied by the employee prior to taking a leave of absence is no longer in existence, the employee shall be assigned a position in his/her class, or a related class, and he/she shall have bumping and seniority rights in the same manner as if there were a reduction in force. 8.19.2 Any employee who returns from a leave of absence and is unable, for personal or physical reasons, to return to his/her former classification shall be placed on the reemployment list.
