Common use of Reinstatement Following Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Reinstatement Following Leave of Absence. Normally an employee returning from a leave of absence will be returned to his or her former position if the vacancy still exists. If the former position has been filled or abolished the employee may be reinstated in a comparable position. It is the responsibility of the employee to notify the department head and the Director of Employment and Employee Services one (1) month prior to the anticipated date of return.
