REINSTATEMENT POLICY. 1301 An employee who terminates employment in good standing may be reinstated to a vacant position in his/her former job classification within two (2) years of his/her termination date without requalifying for employment by competitive processes. 1302 An employee reinstated within ninety (90) days of termination date shall be considered to have continuous service and shall be credited with the amount of accumulated sick leave at the time of termination, be placed in his/her former salary range, annual leave accrual rate, and shall retain his/her review date for purposes of merit pay increases. If a review date has occurred during the period of absence, the new review date shall be effective the date of the reinstatement. 1303 An employee reinstated after ninety (90) days of his/her termination date shall be considered to have a break in service for purposes of salary step status and for all other employee benefits.
