Common use of Reinstatement Within Two Years Clause in Contracts

Reinstatement Within Two Years. Employees who are reinstated pursuant to 15 Civil Service Rules within two (2) calendar years but after one (1) calendar year shall, upon 16 reinstatement, be compensated at Step 1 of their respective pay range. Upon successful completion 17 of twelve (12) months actual service after reinstatement, (or six (6) months for job classifications for 18 which employees receive a step increase after six (6) months of service) they shall be compensated at 19 the equivalent of the same salary step that they were on when they left service plus any step 20 advancement due for the addition of the current service.
