Seniority Roster The District shall maintain an updated seniority roster, indicating employee's class seniority and hire date seniority. Such rosters shall be available to CSEA.
Seniority Rosters The Employer agrees to furnish the Union each January 31 and July 31 with rosters of all employees who accrue seniority, their current and prior classifications, and start date in each classification and University start date per Section 1. Employees who have accepted positions outside the bargaining unit do not accrue class seniority in the bargaining unit when employed in positions outside the bargaining unit, but retain prior seniority earned in the bargaining unit. When two (2) or more employees have the same classification seniority date, ties shall be broken by recognizing the employee with the greater University seniority first. If a tie still continues, the employee's seniority position shall be determined by lot.
Super Seniority For purposes of layoff and recall only, the President shall head the seniority list, provided however, that such officer must have the necessary skill and experience to perform the required work. The Sheriff agrees that this section shall not be applied in an arbitrary manner.
Seniority Dates Upon request, the Employer agrees to make available to the Union the seniority dates of any employees covered by this Agreement. Such seniority dates shall be subject to correction for error on proper representation by the Union.
Seniority Date Employees shall acquire seniority upon completion of the probationary period as defined in Article XIII and upon acquiring seniority, the seniority date shall relate back to the first date of continuous service in the bargaining unit. If more than one employee commences work on the same date, lot shall determine seniority ranking for such employees. A District-Wide seniority list will be provided for the exclusive representative no later than November 1 of each year.
Equal Seniority If two (2) or more employees subject to layoff have equal class seniority, the determination as to who shall be laid off will be made on the basis of the greater hire date seniority, and if that be equal, then the determination shall be made by lot.
Transfer of Seniority The affected employer(s) and affected union(s) shall meet to determine any provisions for a transfer of seniority between bargaining units.
Bargaining Unit Seniority The length of continuous service in a position or succession of positions within Bargaining Unit Two (2), beginning with the last date of hire or transfer into the Bargaining Unit, as defined by seniority credits.
Transfer of Seniority and Service Effective (the date as set out in the Local Provisions Appendix) and for employees who transfer subsequent to (the effective date as set out in the Local Provisions Appendix): For application of seniority for purposes of promotion, demotion, transfer, layoff and recall and service (including meeting any waiting period or other entitlement requirements) for purposes of vacation entitlement, HOODIP or equivalent, health and welfare benefit plans, and wage progression: (i) an employee whose status is changed from full-time to part-time shall receive full credit for his seniority and service; (ii) an employee whose status is changed from part-time to full-time shall receive credit for his seniority and service on the basis of one (1) year for each 1725 hours worked. The above-noted employee shall be allowed a trial period of up to thirty (30) days, during which the Hospital will determine if the employee can satisfactorily perform the job. Within this period the employee may voluntarily return, or be returned without loss of seniority to his former duties on the same shift in the same department and at the appropriate rate of pay, subject to any changes which would have occurred had he not transferred.
Definition of Seniority Seniority shall be defined as the length of an employee's continuous service with the County, in a regular position, and is based on most recent date of hire.
