Relief Pay. a) When an employee is temporarily transferred to a higher-rated classification for more than one (1) hour, they shall be paid the higher rate nearest their present classification rate retroactive to the first hour worked in such higher classification. b) Where the Employer temporarily assigns an employee to carry out the assigned responsibilities of a classification outside the Bargaining Unit for a period in excess of one (1) hour, the employee shall receive an allowance of $3.00 for each shift from the time of the assignment.
