Common use of Religious Holiday Observance Clause in Contracts

Religious Holiday Observance. Two (2) recognized official religious holidays during the school year may be deducted from accrued sick leave, and a third day may be approved at the discretion of the Superintendent under the following conditions. a) Written application is made indicating religious day to be observed one (1) week in advance of the desired day of leave to the principal or supervising administrator. b) Such day is a scheduled duty day.
