For absences over three (3) consecutive working days a certificate from a qualified medical or dental practitioner may be requested. For absences exceeding one (1) month, the Board may request a medical certificate from a doctor appointed by the Board in order to continue sick leave payments. When the Board requests a doctor’s certificate from an employee related to an absence on sick leave for less than three (3) days and the employee’s physician charges for such certificate, the Board shall subsequently reimburse the employee for the cost of the doctor’s certificate.
