Required Orientation In-Service for Teachers. Pursuant to California Code of Regulations 80026.5, classroom teachers serving on a full- time emergency permit shall attend two (2) 8-hour days of unpaid orientation in- services prior to the commencement of their first full-time teaching assignment as authorized by the emergency permit. Such employees who cannot attend the required in-service prior to beginning their teaching assignment shall attend the next scheduled UTLA/District sessions for an equivalent amount of time on an unpaid basis. Emergency permits for such employees cannot be renewed unless the above orientation in-service requirements are met. Required topics for the in- service shall incorporate state requirements and District priorities. Training shall be conducted by QED-C trained personnel or other personnel using QED-C developed modules in District-wide, cluster, complex, or school meetings.

  • Additional Federally Required Orders/Directives Both parties agree that they will comply with the following laws and directives, where applicable: 11.20.1 Executive Order 11061, as amended, which directs the Secretary of HUD to take all action which is necessary and appropriate to prevent discrimination by agencies that utilize federal funds. 11.20.2 Public Law 88-352, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which provides that no person in the United States shall, on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex, be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity which receives federal financial assistance. The Agency hereby extends this requirement to the Contractor and its private contractors.   • Third Party Administrators for Defined Contribution Plans 2.1 The Fund may decide to make available to certain of its customers, a qualified plan program (the “Program”) pursuant to which the customers (“Employers”) may adopt certain plans of deferred compensation (“Plan or Plans”) for the benefit of the individual Plan participant (the “Plan Participant”), such Plan(s) being qualified under Section 401(a) of the Code and administered by TPAs which may be plan administrators as defined in the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended. 2.2 In accordance with the procedures established in Schedule 2.1 entitled “Third Party Administrator Procedures,” as may be amended by the Transfer Agent and the Fund from time to time (“Schedule 2.1”), the Transfer Agent shall: (a) Treat Shareholder accounts established by the Plans in the name of the Trustees, Plans or TPAs, as the case may be, as omnibus accounts; (b) Maintain omnibus accounts on its records in the name of the TPA or its designee as the Trustee for the benefit of the Plan; and (c) Perform all Services under Section 1 as transfer agent of the Funds and not as a record-keeper for the Plans. 2.3 Transactions identified under Sections 1 and 2 of this Agreement shall be deemed exception services (“Exception Services”) when such transactions: (a) Require the Transfer Agent to use methods and procedures other than those usually employed by the Transfer Agent to perform transfer agency and recordkeeping services; (b) Involve the provision of information to the Transfer Agent after the commencement of the nightly processing cycle of the TA2000 System; or (c) Require more manual intervention by the Transfer Agent, either in the entry of data or in the modification or amendment of reports generated by the TA2000 System, than is normally required.

  • Mentor Teachers A. A Mentor Teacher shall be defined as a Master Teacher as identified in Section 1526 of the School Code and shall perform the duties of a Master Teacher as specified in the School Code and State Administrative Rules and Regulations. B. Each bargaining unit member in his/her first three (3) years in the classroom shall be assigned one or more Mentor Teacher(s) by the Administration. The Mentor Teacher shall be available to provide professional support, instruction and guidance. The purpose of the mentor assignment is to provide a peer who can offer assistance, resources and information in a collegial fashion. C. A Mentor Teacher shall be assigned in accordance with the following: 1. Participation as a Mentor Teacher shall be voluntary. 2. The Mentor Teacher assignment shall be for one (1) academic year subject to review. The appointment may be renewed in succeeding academic years. 3. Should either the Mentor Teacher or the Mentee present cause to dissolve the relationship, the administration will meet with the Mentor Teacher and the Mentee to determine an appropriate course of action. D. Upon request, the Administration may provide release time so the Mentor may work with the Mentee in his/her assignment during the regular work day. E. Mentees who are new to the profession shall be provided with a minimum of fifteen (15) days of professional development instruction during their first three (3) years of classroom teaching. F. Performance responsibilities of a Mentor Teacher may include but not be limited to: Work to establish a relationship with Mentee based on mutual trust, respect and collegiality; provide encouragement, support, guidance and feedback when needed; help Mentee feel welcome; take part in training to enhance teaching and mentoring skills; complete periodic evaluations of Mentor-Mentee program, as requested; contact mentees, minimally once a week, for formal or informal meetings; help Mentee learn about resources, procedures, curriculum, students' needs, building and district policies, regulations and schedules; promote a smooth transition between teacher training and the actual classroom setting; facilitate three-way conferences involving the Mentor, Mentee and Principal; provide opportunities for Mentee to observe the Mentor and other teachers; share new and alternative materials, methods and resources with Mentee; observe Mentee's teaching in a classroom setting; conduct pre and post observation conferences; and assist Mentee with goal setting.

  • Certification of Meeting or Exceeding Tobacco-Free Workplace Policy Minimum Standards A. Grantee certifies that it has adopted and enforces a Tobacco-Free Workplace Policy that meets or exceeds all of the following minimum standards of: i. Prohibiting the use of all forms of tobacco products, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, water pipes (hookah), bidis, kreteks, electronic cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, snuff and chewing tobacco; ii. Designating the property to which this Policy applies as a "designated area,” which must at least comprise all buildings and structures where activities funded under this Grant Agreement are taking place, as well as Grantee owned, leased, or controlled sidewalks, parking lots, walkways, and attached parking structures immediately adjacent to this designated area; iii. Applying to all employees and visitors in this designated area; and iv. Providing for or referring its employees to tobacco use cessation services. B. If Grantee cannot meet these minimum standards, it must obtain a waiver from the System Agency.

  • – ORIENTATION AND IN SERVICE 20.01 An orientation and in service program will be provided to all employees. These programs shall be reviewed and discussed from time to time by members of the Union-Management Committee. 20.02 A newly employed employee shall not be placed in charge, until she has been fully oriented to the home. 20.03 The following minimums shall be observed in the orientation/familiarization of a newly hired employee: (a) She is to be familiarized with the physical aspects of the building, the applicable policies and procedures of the Employer, and the daily routine of employees in the Home. (b) The period of orientation/familiarization shall be for a minimum of five (5) days or such greater period that the Employer deems necessary. (c) She shall be an additional employee to the usual staffing pattern. (d) The employee or employees involved in the orientation/familiarization will confirm that it has been completed, and this will be noted on the newly hired employee's personnel file, which will be reviewed with such employee, and the employee shall also be able to comment. (e) The employee may request up to three (3) additional days of paid orientation. When making her request, the employee will specify her learning needs and discuss with the Director of Care the development of the orientation learning plan. This request will not be unreasonably denied. (f) Notwithstanding the above, orientation/familiarization when an employee is transferred to a new unit/shift will be provided as required. (g) The Employer may, at its discretion, provide orientation in other circumstances. 20.04 Both the Employer and the Union recognize the joint responsibility and commitment to provide, and participate in, in-service education. The Union supports the principle of its members' responsibility for their own professional development and the Employer will endeavour to provide programmes related to the requirements of the Home. Programmes will be publicized and related material will be made readily accessible to staff in a timely manner. Any problems in accessing this information will be reported to the Union- Management Committee for resolution. (a) When an employee is required by the Employer to attend any in-service program or e-learning within the Home during her or his regularly scheduled working hours the employee shall suffer no loss of regular pay. (b) When an employee is required by the Employer to prepare for in service or to attend meetings, in service and other work related functions outside her regularly scheduled working hours, and the employee does attend same, she shall be paid for all time spent on such attendance at her regular straight time hourly rate of pay or at the employee's option, she shall receive equivalent time off. When an employee is required by the Employer to complete an e-learning programme outside her regularly scheduled working hours, she shall be paid for all time spent completing such learning at her regular straight time hourly rate of pay or at the employee's option, she shall receive equivalent time off. Part-time employees will be credited with seniority and service for all such hours paid as provided above while in attendance at in-services, meetings, and completing e-learning. (c) The Employer will endeavour where practical to schedule in-services at times which will facilitate the attendance of employees working outside the day shift. 20.06 When required by a certifying body to update an employee's qualifications, except where this matter is covered by another provision of the collective agreement, the Employer shall grant leave of absence without pay which shall include the time required to write any examinations. 20.07 The Employer undertakes to notify the Union in advance, so far as practicable, of any technological changes which the Employer has decided to introduce which will significantly change the employment status of the employee(s) within the bargaining unit. The Employer agrees to discuss with the Union the effect of such technological changes on the employment status of the employee(s) and to consider practical ways and means of minimizing the adverse effect, if any, on the employee(s) concerned. Employees who are subject to layoff due to technological change will then be given notice of such layoff at the earliest reasonable time and in keeping with the requirements of the applicable legislation and the provisions of Article 9.11 to

  • SERVICE REQUIREMENTS FOR REFERRED CLIENTS A. Agent agrees to respond to any communications from a Referred Client within two (2) hours after receipt if such communication is received between 9:00am to 5:00pm local time. For communications received outside of these hours, Agent agrees to respond by 10:00am the next day. B. Agent agrees to update XXXX.xxx with status updates within 48 hours after initial communication with a Referred Client and upon every significant status change until closing or abandoned. Updates shall be made by Agent via email to xxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxx.xxx. C. Vacations or extended absences shall be reported, with length of pause, to XXXX.xxx via email to D. Agent will not add Referred Client to any email list or calling list without the express permission of Referred Client. E.
