Responsibility of the District. Employees shall be granted a jury leave of absence, the paid portion of the leave not to exceed two (2) weeks during any two (2) consecutive fiscal years, when necessarily absent from work because of an order for jury duty. Jury leave of absence shall be granted by the employee's division head, college president, or their designated representative, unless the employee works under the direct supervision of the Chancellor, in which case the Chancellor shall grant the jury leave. The Chancellor or the appropriate College President shall have the authority to approve payment for State or Federal jury service beyond the two (2) weeks provided herein.
