Rest Periods after Extended Shift. A worker who works more than fourteen (14) consecutive hours during a twenty-four (24) hour period shall be entitled to receive an eight (8) hour rest period before returning to duty. Such rest period shall commence when the worker goes off duty. Should the eight (8) hour rest period extend beyond the starting time of the worker's regular shift, the worker shall be required to work only the remainder of the shift.

Rest Periods after Extended Shift. An Employee, who works more than fourteen (14) hours during a twenty-four (24) hour period, starting at the beginning of the Employee’s regularly scheduled start time, shall be entitled to receive a ten (10) hour rest period before returning to duty. Such rest period shall commence when the Employee goes off duty. Should the ten (10) hour rest period extend beyond the starting time of the Employee’s regular shift, the Employee shall be required to work only the remainder of that shift but shall be compensated as though he/she had worked the entire shift. Should an Employee who has worked more than fourteen (14) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period be required to return to duty prior to completion of the ten (10) hour rest period, that Employee shall be compensated at one and one-half (1-1/2) times his/her regular rate of pay for the time remaining in the rest period. Shifts not filled on a voluntary basis will require Employees to be mandated to work based on seniority from lowest to highest.

  • Rest Period After Overtime (a) When overtime work is necessary, it will, wherever reasonably practicable, be so arranged that employees have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive days or shifts, including overtime.

  • Overtime-Eligible Rest Periods ‌ The Employer and the Union agree to rest periods that vary from and supersede the rest periods required by WAC 000-000-000. Employees will be allowed rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes for each one-half (1/2) shift of four (4) or more hours worked at or near the middle of each one-half (1/2) shift of four (4) or more hours. Rest periods do not require relief from duty. Rest periods may not be used for late arrival or early departure from work and rest and meal periods will not be combined.

  • Rest Period An employee who works overtime shall have at least a ten hour rest period between the end of ordinary hours on any one day and start of ordinary hours on the next day. If on the instructions of the employer, the employee resumes or continues work without having had 10 consecutive hours off duty, the employee shall be paid double time until he or she is released from duty for ten hour rest period. The employee shall then be entitled to be absent without loss of pay for ordinary working hours occurring during the ten hour rest period. In the case of shift workers, eight hours shall be substituted for ten hours when overtime is worked:

  • Rest Periods Employees working a full shift will receive one rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in each half of the shift. Employees working less than a full shift, but a minimum of four (4) hours will receive one fifteen (15) minute rest period.

  • Overtime Rest Periods If an employee is assigned one (1) or more hours of overtime work contiguous to his/her regular workshift or is called back within one (1) hour of his/her scheduled quitting time, the Agency will provide a fifteen (15) minute rest period after two (2) hours of overtime completed.

  • Paid Rest Periods All Employees shall be given a paid rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in the first and second half of their daily shift in an area made available by the Employer. If mutually agreed to between the parties, the two (2) rest periods shall be combined.

  • Rest Periods and Meal Breaks (a) All employees shall have two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods in each work period in excess of six (6) hours, one (1) rest period to be granted before and one (1) after the meal period, provided the staff to child ratio can be maintained. It is understood that meal breaks and rest periods may be combined subject to operational requirements.

  • Interest Periods In connection with each LIBOR Rate Loan, the Borrower, by giving notice at the times described in Section 3.1(a), shall elect an interest period (each, an "Interest Period") to be applicable to such Loan, which Interest Period shall be a period of one (1), two (2), three (3) or six (6) months with respect to each LIBOR Rate Loan; provided that:

  • Article Rest Periods Employees shall be entitled, subject to the exigencies of patient care, to relief periods during the shift on the basis of minutes for each hours worked.

  • Meal Periods and Rest Periods (a) Regular hours of work shall include, as scheduled by the Employer, two (2) rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes during each shift of seven and three- quarter (7 3/4) hours and exclude an unpaid meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes.
