Retiree Medical Premiums. 11.7.1. Covered employees who retire under the provisions of the City’s contract with XxxXXXX, are currently eligible to continue CalPERS medical coverage. The City will make the mandatory minimum employer health premium contribution for City retirees participating in the PEMHCA. The mandatory monthly rate is established by CalPERS annually, and is effective on January 1 of each calendar year pursuant to Government Code Section 22892.
