Retirement Plan Defined. The City shall contract with the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) for the purpose of allowing employees to earn retirement benefits. The City has contracted for at the 2.5% @ 55 Plan benefits for “Classic” members as defined by the PEPRA and CalPERS. Employees who constitute “New” members may earn benefits under the 2% @ 62 Plan.
