Return to Work Program. An employee injured on the job may be employed in a Temporary Work Assignment within the City. The authorized treating physician shall determine duties and number of hours per day the employee is able to perform. The number of hours specified by the treating physician shall be considered a “work day”, and the employee shall be paid one hundred percent (100%) of their current pay grade for each day worked. Current employees will not be laid off as a result of such placement.
