Common use of Right to Select Carriers Clause in Contracts

Right to Select Carriers. Any benefits provided for by this Agreement shall be provided through a self-insurance plan or under a group insurance policy or policies issued by an insurance company or insurance companies selected by the Board, however, no changes in insurance carrier shall be made without thirty (30) days prior notice to the Union, and levels shall remain as is or better. “Insurance companies” include regular line insurance companies and non-profit organizations providing such benefits described herein. If these benefits are insured by an insurance company, all benefits are subject to the provisions of the policies between the Board and the insurance company.
