Common use of Rights of Teachers to Representation Clause in Contracts

Rights of Teachers to Representation. 1) No reprisals of any kind shall be taken by either party or by any member of the administration against any party in interest, any School Representative, any member of the PR&R Committee or any other participant in the grievance procedure by reason of such participation. 2) Any party in interest may be represented at all stages of the grievance procedure by a person of her/his own choosing, except that a bargaining unit member may not be represented by a representative or by an officer of any teacher organization other than the Association. Rights of Teachers to Representation. 1a) No reprisals of any kind shall will be taken by either party the Superintendent or by any member or representative of the administration or the Board against any aggrieved person, any party in interest, any School Representative, any member of the PR&R Committee Association, or any other participant in the grievance procedure by reason of such participation. 2b) Any party in interest A teacher may be represented at all stages of the grievance procedure by a person of herhim/his own choosingherself, except that a bargaining unit member may not be represented his/her attorney, or, at his/her option, by a representative or selected by an officer of any teacher organization other than the Association. When If a teacher is not represented by the AssociationAssociation or its representative, the Association shall have the right to be present and to state its views at all stages of the grievance procedureformal level.
