Separate Grievance File. All documents, communications and records dealing with the processing of a grievance shall be filed in a separate grievance file and shall not be kept in the personnel file of any of the participants.

Each employee shall have the right to view his/her grievance forms and official supporting documents upon request.

Grievances will be processed in the following manner and within the stated time limits. Grievances not filed within the time limits stated at each step of the Procedure shall be deemed waived. Pursuant to ORS 342.895(5), a moratorium shall be placed on grievance timelines while an employee is on a program of assistance.
1. When an event occurs as prescribed by ORS 342.895(5) that causes the moratorium to be lifted, the District will notify the employee and the Association.
2. The employee/Association will, then have ten (10) workdays from the time of said notice to file grievance which was subject to the moratorium.

Each employee shall have the right to review the contents of their grievance file. A representative of the Association at the employee's request may accompany the employee in review.
