ROCK SOURCE DEVELOPMENT PLAN BY STATE. All rock source development and use shall be in accordance with a written Rock Source Development and Reclamation Plan prepared by the State and included in this Road Plan. Rock source operations shall be conducted as directed by the Contract Administrator and in accordance with the plan. Upon completion of operations, the rock source shall be left in the condition specified in the Rock Source Development and Reclamation Plan, and approved in writing by the Contract Administrator. The Purchaser shall notify the Contract Administrator a minimum of 5 calendar days before starting any operations in the rock source.

The maximum slope of the walls must be consistent with recognized engineering standards for the type of material being excavated in accordance with the following table: Material Maximum Slope Ratio (Horiz. :Vert.) Maximum Slope Percent DRAFT ▪ Pit walls must be maintained in a condition to minimize the possibility of the walls sliding or failing. ▪ The width of pit benches must be a minimum of 1.5 times the maximum length of the largest machine used. ▪ The surface of pit floors and benches must be uniform and free-draining at a minimum 2% outslope gradient. ▪ All operations must be carried out in compliance with all regulations of the Regulations and Standards Applicable to Metal and Nonmetal Mining and Milling Operations (30 CFR) U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration and Safety Standards for Construction Work (296-155 WAC), Washington Department of Labor and Industries. ▪ All vehicle access to the top of the pit faces must be blocked.

ROCK SOURCE DEVELOPMENT PLAN BY STATE. Purchaser shall notify the Contract Administrator a minimum of 3 business days before starting any operations in the rock source. DRAFT Purchaser shall provide a tracked rock drill with operator for 400 drill feet and an excavator (minimum 170 HP) with operator for up to 5 hours of exploration of rock and other related work as directed by the Contract Administrator at the following site. Contractor shall record exploration results in ROCK EXPLORATION LOG DETAIL and provide them to the Contract Administrator upon completion of rock exploration.
