RUNOFF ELECTIONS. Each participating authority shall have the option of extending the terms of this agreement through its runoff election, if applicable. In the event of such runoff election, the terms of this agreement shall automatically extend unless the participating authority notifies the Elections Administrator in writing within 3 business days after the original election, not counting election day. Each participating authority shall reserve the right to reduce the number of early voting locations and/or Election Day voting locations in a runoff election. Each participating authority agrees to order any runoff election(s) at its meeting for canvassing the votes from the November 3, 2020 election and to conduct its drawing for ballot positions at or immediately following such meeting in order to expedite preparations for its runoff election. Each participating authority eligible to hold runoff elections agrees that the date of the runoff election, if necessary, shall be December 8, 2020.
RUNOFF ELECTIONS. For each runoff election the Participating Entity has requested that the Election Officer conduct, the Participating Entity must make a payment equal to 75% of the projected costs for the runoff election no later than three business days after receiving that cost estimate from the Election Officer. The projected share of election costs will include an administrative fee that is equal to 10% of the total estimated cost of conducting the Participating Entity’s runoff election, excluding the costs of voting equipment.
RUNOFF ELECTIONS a. Each Participating Political Subdivision shall have the option of extending the terms of this contract through its Runoff Election, if applicable. In the event of such Runoff Election, the terms of this contract shall automatically extend unless the Participating Political Subdivision notifies the Elections Administrator in writing within 3 business days of the original election.
b. Each Participating Political Subdivision shall reserve the right to reduce the number of Early Voting polling locations and/or Election Day vote centers in a Runoff Election. If necessary, any voting changes made by a Participating Political Subdivision between the original election and the Runoff Election shall be submitted by the authority making the change to the United States Department of Justice for the preclearance required by the Federal Voting Rights Act of 1965, as amended.
c. Each Participating Political Subdivision agrees to order any Runoff Election(s) at its meeting for canvassing the votes from the May 4, 2024 Joint Election, and to conduct its drawing for ballot positions at, or immediately following, such meeting in order to expedite preparations for its Runoff Election.
d. Each Participating Political Subdivision eligible to hold Runoff Elections after the May 4, 2024 Uniform Election Date agrees that the date of a necessary Runoff Election shall be held in accordance with the Texas Election Code, which will be Saturday, June 15, 2024.

In the event of such runoff election, the terms of this contract shall automatically extend unless the CITY notifies the Contracting Officer in writing within three (3) business days of the original election. The CITY shall reserve the right to reduce the number of early voting locations and/or Election Day voting locations in a runoff election. The CITY agrees to order any runoff election(s) at its meeting for canvassing the votes from the May 6, 2023 election and to conduct its drawing for ballot positions at or immediately following such meeting in order to expedite preparations for its runoff election. The CITY agrees that the date of the runoff election, if necessary, shall be June 10, 2023, with early voting being held in accordance with the Election Code. Early Voting by personal appearance for the runoff election shall be conducted during the hours and time period and at the locations listed in Exhibit “A-1,” attached hereto and made a part of this contract. The Election Day polling locations for the runoff election are those listed in Exhibit “B-1,” attached hereto and made a part of this contract.

Each participating authority eligible to hold runoff elections agrees that the date of the runoff election, if necessary, shall be Saturday, June 18, 2011.

Each Participating Authority eligible to hold runoff elections agrees that the date of the runoff election, if necessary, shall be Tuesday, December 12, 2017, with early voting being held in accordance with the Election Code.

In the event of such runoff election, the terms of this Agreement shall automatically extend unless the Party notifies the Elections Administrator in writing within 3 business days of the original election. Each Party reserves the right to reduce the number of early voting locations and/or Election Day voting locations in a runoff election. If necessary, any voting changes made by a Party between the original election and the runoff election shall be submitted by the Party making the change to the United States Department of Justice for the preclearance required by the Federal Voting Rights Act of 1965, as amended. Each Party eligible to hold a runoff election agrees that the date of the runoff election(s) at its meeting for canvassing the votes from the May 10, 2014 election and to conduct its drawing for ballot positions at or immediately following such meeting in order to expedite preparations for its runoff election. Each Party eligible to hold a runoff agrees that the date of the runoff election, if necessary, shall be Saturday, June 21, 2014.
