Sabbatical and Alternative Staff-Development Leaves. 1. For the purpose of increasing the efficiency of the public schools and to promote the self- improvement of its faculty, the Board shall maintain a program for sabbatical and alternative staff-development leaves. All guidelines developed and/or changed by the Sabbatical Committee shall be approved by the Executive Board of the Hartford Education Association and School Board prior to implementation.
