Common use of Salary Overpayment Recovery Clause in Contracts

Salary Overpayment Recovery. A. When the Employer has determined that an employee has been overpaid wages, the Employer will provide written notice to the employee which will include the following: 1. The amount of the overpayment, 2. The basis for the overpayment, 3. Verification of the overpayment, and 4. The employee's rights under the terms of this Agreement. B. Within thirty (30) days of receipt of the notice of salary overpayment, the employee has the option to choose one or more of the following methods for repayment, provided that full repayment of any salary overpayment shall be made within sixty (60) days of receipt of notice: 1. Voluntary wage deduction/s, 2. Cash, or 3. Check. C. Should repayment within sixty (60) days present a hardship for the employee, a request may be made to the Executive Director to waive the overpayment or repay it over a longer period of time. D. Any dispute concerning the validity of a salary overpayment will be resolved through the process outlined in Article 25,
