Salary Payments Salaries shall be paid fortnightly by direct credit to the employee’s nominated bank account except that individual employees may on religious or ethical grounds apply in writing to the Secretary for Education to be paid by cheque.
Salary Payment In consideration of Executive’s timely execution and non-revocation of the Release by the Release Deadline Date, the Company shall pay Executive a severance payment equal to Executive’s Monthly Base Salary multiplied by the number of months in the Covered Termination Severance Period, less applicable withholdings. The severance payment shall be payable (except as set forth in Article 5) in a lump sum on the first regularly-scheduled payroll date occurring on or after the Release Deadline Date.
Salary Severance A single, lump sum payment equal to twelve (12) months of the Executive’s Salary, less applicable withholdings.
Car Allowance The Company shall provide the Executive an automobile allowance of $750 per month during the term of Executive’s employment hereunder.
DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY A. The Board agrees to deduct from teachers' salaries unified membership dues for Xxxxxxxxx County Teachers Association, the Maryland State Education Association and the National Education Association as said teachers individually and voluntarily authorize to deduct through an appropriate written authorization form prepared by the Association and approved by the Human Resources Division. The Board agrees to transmit such monies promptly to the Association. 1. Deductions shall be made in twenty (20) equal installments beginning in August and ending in June of each year. For new enrollees, deductions shall be made in sixteen (16) equal installments beginning in October. The Board will not be required to honor any authorizations that are delivered to it later than fifteen (15) working days prior to the distribution of the November payroll, except for authorized deductions for first-year teachers, delivered after the distribution of the November payroll whose deductions will be made in equal installments computed in accordance with the number of pay periods remaining in that school year. 2. The Association will certify to the Board in writing the current rate of membership dues. The Association will give the Board thirty (30) days written notice prior to the effective date of any change in the rate of dues. 3. No later than October 1 of each year, the Board will provide the Association with a list of those teachers from whom dues were deducted on the first payroll. The Board will provide a similar list from the November 15 payroll not later than December 1. 4. In the event that a teacher terminates employment, the Board shall deduct the balance of the unpaid dues for the current membership year from the teacher's final pay check and transmit these dues promptly to the Association. B. Payroll deductions will be available at the request of the teacher for the plans listed below and XXXXX. Except in case of an emergency, the Board shall distribute all monies from payroll deduction accounts to the proper recipients within ten (10) workdays of its deduction following the pay date. 1. 403(b) and 457(b) Programs A list of companies authorized to offer 403(b) and 457(b) products to the employees of the Board will be made available to all employees by September 1 of each fiscal year beginning July 1. The number of authorized companies for which payroll deductions will be made will be determined by the insurance council. The insurance council will recommend a number of providers deemed sufficient to provide an adequate array of eligible investment products for the benefit of all employees. In order to be eligible for inclusion on this authorized list, the companies must meet the following criteria: a. A company must submit a written explanation of their company background, administrative capabilities, products and services for consideration by the insurance council. b. The insurance council will recommend to both the Board and the Association companies that should be on the authorized list. c. When a new company is added to the list before payroll begins, the company must initially sign up a minimum of ten (10) employees. Once the minimum number of employees is signed up, payroll deductions will begin as soon as practical. Approved service-fee based providers must sign up additional employees following the minimum participants schedule listed below for the first three (3) years: Year 1 – minimum of 15 employees Year 2 – minimum of 30 employees Year 3 – minimum of 50 employees After year three (3), if at any time an approved service-fee based provider drops below fifty (50) employees participating in its program for six (6) consecutive months during the school year, it will be dropped from the authorized list of companies at the end of the particular fiscal year in which such event occurs. No- load based providers will not be required to maintain a minimum number of participants due to the lack of on-site marketing. d. At any time the service-fee based company fails to meet this requirement by decision of the insurance council, it can be dropped from the list of authorized companies. At any time, a company fails to comply with IRS regulations, by decision of the insurance council, it can be dropped from the list of authorized companies. 2. Insurance plans approved by the Association and the Board. 3. Teachers desiring payroll deductions for XXXXX shall notify the Board in writing with fifteen
Lump Sum Severance Payment Payment of a lump sum amount equal to twelve (12) months of Executive’s then-current Base Salary plus the Pro Rated Bonus, less all customary and required taxes and employment-related deductions, paid on the first payroll date following the date on which the Release required by Paragraph 4(g) becomes effective and non-revocable, but not after seventy (70) days following the effective date of termination from employment.

Severance Allowance A laid-off employee shall be entitled to severance allowance pursuant to Article 55.
Separation Allowance If a regular full-time or regular part-time employee resigns within thirty (30) days of receiving notice of layoff, the employee shall be entitled to a separation allowance of two (2) weeks for each year of continuous service to a maximum of (26) weeks pay, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12)months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a of three thousand dollars ($3,000). The displacement procedure prescribed by Article shall not operate to permit more than two displacements and the third person so displaced shall only have the right to displace another employee who has lesser bargaining unit and who is the least senior employee in all lower or identical paying classifications in the bargaining unit. This will also apply to bumping into part-time which will mean another two (2) bumps provided that the full-time employee has more seniority. The Hospital shall give each employee the bargaining unit who has actually been laid off following the completion of the bumping process, and who is to be laid off for a period of more than thirteen (13)weeks, three (3)months notice in writing of the employee’s xxx-xxxxx at the discretion of the Hospital, pay in lieu of notice. In other cases of lay-off, that exceeds two weeks, the shall give an employee in the bargaining unit acquired one weeks notice, provided however, such notice shall not be required if the lay-off occurs because of emergencies. For example: power failure, act of God, equipment breakdown, or any other conditions beyond the reasonable control of the Hospital. Article as long as there is not a laid off senior employee who is eligible for an employee who is laid off, or an employee who has displaced an employee in another position as a result of the layoff, or an employee to work in a different position than the one the employee held prior to the layoff, be entitled to to the position the employee held prior to the layoff should it become vacant within twenty-four (24) months of the layoff, provided the employee remains qualified and able to the duties of the position. Employees who have been laid off (i.e. are no longer in the Hospital) for up to (24) calendar months shall be recalled to or lower-rated classifications in the order of their seniority, provided they have the qualifications and ability to perform the available work and this not require posting. The hospital shall notify the employee of recall by registered mail, addressed to the last address on record with the hospital. The notification shall state the job to which the employee is eligible to be and the date and time at which the employee is to report for work. An employee given notice of recall by registered have three (3) days after receipt of such notice to the employee's intention, in to return to work on the date specified by the Employer or another date as mutually agreed. Any employee who does not so shall be deemed to have ceased with the Employer. The Employer be entitled to rely, for ail purposes, on the latest address of the employee contained in the records of the Employer. No new employee shall be hired in a in which a layoff has taken place employees laid off from that classification or displaced out of the classification who have been laid off or displaced for up to twenty-four (24) calendar months and are eligible for recall as prescribed in this article have been given the opportunity to to work in the classification from which the employees were laid off or displaced.
Over-Allowance Amount On the Cost Proposal Delivery Date and, in any event, prior to the commencement of the construction of the Tenant Improvements, Tenant shall deliver to Landlord cash in an amount (the “Over-Allowance Amount”) equal to the difference between (i) the amount of the Cost Proposal and (ii) the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance (less any portion thereof already disbursed by Landlord, or in the process of being disbursed by Landlord, on or before the Cost Proposal Delivery Date). The Over-Allowance Amount shall be disbursed by Landlord prior to the disbursement of any then remaining portion of the Tenant Improvement Allowance, and such disbursement shall be pursuant to the same procedure as the Tenant Improvement Allowance. If, after the Cost Proposal Date, any revisions, changes, or substitutions shall be made to the Construction Drawings or the Tenant Improvements as a result of requests made by Tenant or as otherwise specified in Section 5.01(h) below, any additional costs which arise in connection with such revisions, changes or substitutions shall be paid by Tenant to Landlord immediately upon Landlord’s request as an addition to the Over-Allowance Amount and, in any event, prior to the commencement of the construction of the revisions, changes or substitutions. Promptly following completion of construction of the Tenant Improvements and payment of all costs incurred in connection therewith, Landlord shall prepare and deliver to Tenant a reasonably detailed reconciliation of (i) the total cost of the Tenant Improvements, including all Tenant Improvement Allowance Items, and (ii) the total amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance and the Over-Allowance Amount payments previously made by Tenant pursuant to the foregoing provisions of this Section. To the extent that such reconciliation discloses that the total costs of the Tenant Improvements exceeds the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance plus all Over-Allowance Amount previously paid by Tenant, Tenant shall pay the amount of such shortfall to Landlord within thirty (30) days after receipt of such reconciliation. To the extent that such reconciliation discloses that the total costs of the Tenant Improvements is less than the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance plus all Over-Allowance Amounts previously paid by Tenant, Landlord shall pay the amount of such overage to Tenant at the time that Landlord delivers such reconciliation to Tenant.
