Scheduling of Work for Casual Receivers. 12.18.1 The scheduling of available casual receiving work must take into consideration in the scheduling the needs of the department, the commitment of the College and the desires of the employees. 12.18.2 Scheduled blocks of work and unscheduled work will be assigned to qualified casual employees on the basis of longest service with the College provided: a) Employees are qualified to perform the work; b) Employees are available and can be contacted in advance of the commencement of the work; c) The scheduling of this work will not result in departmental overtime being incurred. 12.18.3 Employees must keep the College informed about limitations on their availability. 12.18.4 Article 12.18 is not intended to replace Article 3.0, Filling Vacancies, or Article 13.4, Acting in Senior Capacity.
