Screenings. i. The Board will require and obtain a Level 1 background screening as a condition of employment or contract award for all Board, career center staff, contractors, and subcontractors. Additionally, the Board will require and obtain a Level 1 background screening for all individuals performing financial management activities. The Level 1 background screening must be conducted prior to employment or, for contract awards, prior to contractor’s employees beginning work. The Level 1 background screening must be conducted at least every five years of consecutive employment, and upon re-employment in all circumstances (including assignment to a new or different contract for Board contractors). The Board will develop a policy for implementing background screenings.
