Secondary Resolution Sample Clauses

Secondary Resolution. Within thirty (30) calendar days of the filing date of the grievance form, there will be a secondary resolution meeting in the plant between the grievor, committeeman, xxxxxxx, XX representative and the superintendent or manager. At that meeting, there will be a completed fact sheet, a grievance form and all relevant documents will be attached. If the documentation is incomplete, then the file will be returned to the supervisor, employee and xxxxxxx for completion without delay. The goal is for the grievance to be resolved within the plant at this secondary resolution meeting as it is the final opportunity to address grievances before they become divisional. The intent is that these meetings will be scheduled by the Company as part of a regular routine in the plant to avoid scheduling issues and that, while the Company is responsible for scheduling, the committeemen can and should be used as a resource. From the date of this secondary resolution meeting in the plant, the Company has seven (7) calendar days to provide an answer in writing to the grievor and the committeeman. If the grievance is not resolved or withdrawn at this point, it advances to a divisional triage meeting. During the plant resolution process, meetings will be scheduled during the grievor’s working hours and all time lines will exclude days where the grievor is absent on any approved leave. Decisions made during the plant resolution process will be without precedent or prejudice to either party.
