Approved Leave means: (i) a paid leave of absence, approved by a Participating Company and paid through a Participating Company’s payroll, including, for greater certainty, a leave during which the Eligible Employee is in receipt of short-term disability benefits; or (ii) an unpaid leave of absence taken in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation during which the applicable legislation requires that the Eligible Employee be permitted to elect to continue participation in the Plan during the leave.

Approved Leave means an employee’s or officer’s absence from assigned work that is authorized by the employee’s or officer’s supervisor.

More Definitions of Approved Leave

Approved Leave means an approved personal or medical leave of absence with an employment guarantee (by statute or contract) upon return.

Approved Leave means the period of job-protected temporary absence available under Part XIV of the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (Ontario) or the period of a temporary absence of a Member from duty in the Diocese with the approval of the Bishop under section (1) of Article 6, and ceases at the end of the term of such absence or approval;

In addition, all Approved Leave is pursuant to and consistent with Seller’s normal policies and practices.
