Selection of Board Members. Board Members shall be selected by the Members. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes from the Members shall be elected.

Selection of Board Members. Subject to Section 6 of this Article, within seven (7) calendar days of receiving the grievance at this level, the Director of Personnel shall meet with the grievant and/or the grievant's representative to select two members of a grievance hearing board. The grievant and/or representative shall select one member; the Director of Personnel shall select another member. The two board members shall select a third member to serve as Chairperson. The board members may be any persons who are not directly involved in the incidents of the grievance or in the line of supervision over the grievant either at the time of the hearing or at the time the incidents referred to in the grievance occurred. Selection of Board Members extending invitation to a potential director to join the Board: 5.2.1 One of the roles of the Committee is to periodically identify competency gaps in the Board, evaluate potential candidates as per the criteria laid above, ascertain their availability and make suitable recommendations to the Board.
