Semester Schedule. 1. The semester schedule for a bargaining unit member’s teaching duties is determined by the designated administrator in consultation with the bargaining unit member and subject to approval by the Vice President of Academics. The best-qualified faculty member, as determined by education, training, experience, and relevant pedagogy shall be offered course assignments on a rotating basis each semester. When each of the above are deemed equal, the faculty member with the most years of seniority shall be offered the assignment. Should that faculty member refuse the assignment, the assignment shall be offered to the next most senior faculty member. 2. Full time bargaining unit member schedules for each department and program shall be finalized two (2) weeks before the beginning of each semester and summer session – subject to subsequent changes based on enrollment -- unless mutually agreed upon by the bargaining unit member and appropriate administrator.
