Senior Lecturer Professional Improvement Fellowships. Fellowships shall be awarded to 12 Senior Lecturers or Senior Lecturer IIs annually through a competitive application process that will provide a one semester release for professional improvement activities that shall directly relate to the faculty member’s job responsibilities and/or advance important initiatives for their department or college. Six Fellowships shall be awarded in Fall of 2018 to be taken in Spring of 2019. Applications for Fellowships will be submitted to the respective College Review Committee provided in Article 21.10.5 (g) for recommendation to the Xxxx. No more than three Fellowships shall be recommended from any school or college. The Xxxxxxx will make the final determination which shall not be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure.

The parties’ support the principle of continuing training of teachers, participation by teachers in professional organizations in the areas of their specialization, leaves for work on advanced degrees or special studies, foreign travel and participation in community educational projects.

  • EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A leave of absence without pay of up to one (1) contract year may be granted to any employee, upon application, for the purpose of engaging in study at an accredited college or university reasonably related to professional responsibilities.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.

  • Professional Learning A. School-based Professional Learning

  • Design Professional The architect or engineer or architectural or engineering firm selected by Owner (i) for the design and preparation of Contract Documents governing the construction of a Project, or (ii) for construction contract administration under the Contract Documents, or (iii) for both, all such services and the scope thereof to be set forth in the Design Professional Contract. The Design Professional is not an employee of the Owner but is engaged or retained by it for the purpose of performing design and construction administration services for the project. The term “Design Professional” includes architects, engineers, surveyors, designers, and other consultants retained by the Design Professional.
