Service Outside the Bargaining Unit. (a) Service with the Employer outside the bargaining unit shall not count for seniority purposes under this Article, save and except as expressly provided otherwise by this Agreement. (b) A bargaining unit employee who accepts a temporary promotion into a management position shall accrue seniority for a period not to exceed six (6) months from the date of commencement of such work, subject to the provisions of Clause 16.09. Upon expiry of this time limit, the employee shall lose all seniority unless by then he has returned to the bargaining unit.
