Agency and Traveler Nurses. Except in circumstances where the 11 Hospital has needed to contract for an Agency/Traveler Nurse to temporarily fill a 12 position vacated because another nurse is on a protected leave with return rights, if an 13 Agency Nurse is assigned duties for longer than thirteen (13) consecutive weeks, that 14 position will be re-posted according to Article 6, for all nurses to bid on if it has not 15 remained posted before extension of the Agency Nurse beyond the initial thirteen (13) 16 weeks. If no qualified applicants apply for the position in response to the posting, the 17 Agency/Traveler Nurse may be extended for up to another thirteen (13) consecutive 18 weeks.

Agency and Traveler Nurses. The Medical Center will not use traveler nurses, guaranteed agency nurses, or share care or non-bargaining unit nurses in lieu of posting a position in the bargaining unit. This provision does not limit the ability of the Medical Center to use such nurses for any combination of leaves of absence, vacations, holidays, sick leave, and/or temporary or seasonal increase in census.

  • TRANSPORTATION AND TRAVEL TIME 12.01 The Employer will provide transportation to and from jobs from the Employer’s shop. If an employee’s car is used for such transportation, the owner shall be paid fifty cents (50¢) per kilometre for such use.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available.
