Shift Bidding Rights Of Absent Employees. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to contact Employees who are absent from work for any reason at the material time to ensure that they can, if possible, exercise their shift selection rights pursuant to this Clause 22.01(b). Employees whom it is known with reasonable certainty will be absent from work for whatever reason for at least sixty (60) consecutive calendar days from the date of the shift bid shall be bypassed by the Employer and upon their return to work shall, until the next shift bidding process, be given a shift block as determined by the Employer in its discretion exercised reasonably.
