SHIFT DEFINITION. Except for exceptions noted in Article 13, Section B5, the first shift is any shift that regularly starts on or after 5:00 a.m. but before 12:00 noon. The second shift is any shift that regularly starts on or after 12:00 noon but before 6:00 p.m. The third shift is any shift that regularly starts on or after 6:00 p.m. but before 5:00 a.m. The above definition is for shift premium consideration.
