Shifts - Engineering and Parks Department. The Parks and Engineering Departments may be operated on a multiple shift basis at the discretion of the Corporation, following discussions with the Union, provided that at least forty-eight (48) hours’ notice of change of shift is given to the employees concerned and the Union (such notice may be waived in conditions of emergency) and subject to the following conditions: (a) Afternoon Shift (4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., inclusive of a one-half hour unpaid lunch break); (b) Midnight Shift (11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., inclusive of a one-half hour unpaid lunch break).
