Common use of Short Term Plan Clause in Contracts

Short Term Plan. The Employer will provide, at no cost to the employee, a Short Term Income Protection Plan. Benefits would only be payable beginning with the fourth day of disability unless the employee is hospitalized, in which case, the employee would be eligible for benefits immediately. An employee who is admitted for Day Surgery and has to remain off work for any time due to such surgery shall be considered to be hospitalized for the purposes of the Short Term Plan. Such absence shall be verified by a medical certificate acceptable to the Employer.
