Sick Leave Eliaibility In order to qualify for sick leave payments, ~he employee must report to his department head or notify the City Fire Department not later than one (1) hour before his normai starting time on the first day of absence unless, in the judgment of the Employer, the circumstances surrounding the absence made such reporting impossible, in which event such report must be made as soon thereafter as is possible~ All absences for which sick leave pay is desired, regardless of the length of the duration of such absence, require the submission and approval of a "report of absence from duty" form before payment is made under these sections.
