Fire Department. The affected employee, or the Union Grievance Committee shall take up the grievance with the appropriate excluded direct supervisor and shall do so within thirty (30) calendar days of the occurrence giving rise to the grievance or within thirty (30) calendar days of the time the employee may first be reasonably expected to have had knowledge of that occurrence. During this thirty (30) day period, every effort shall be made to settle grievances at this first step through the recognized chain of command in verbal form, and either party may request the presence of the Fire Chief during such discussions. Within fifteen (15) calendar days of receipt of an official statement of grievance, Portland Air National Guard management will issue a written response.
Fire DepartmentAll personnel required to wear uniforms must comply with the Fire Department Policy Manual and the following provisions:
Fire DepartmentEmployees will be furnished with up to two uniforms per year at City expense. Replacement of uniforms by the City shall be made on an as-needed basis, up to a maximum of two complete uniforms per year, upon approval of the Fire Chief. Replacement uniform items shall be issued only upon receipt by the department of the items to be replaced.

Fire Department. Montana State Hospital maintains a fire department to provide protection to life and property on the Warm Springs property. Corrections must reimburse DPHHS 20% of the costs associated with the routine operation and maintenance of the fire department. Costs will be documented by DPHHS. DPHHS and Corrections will negotiate to determine the proportion of costs for major improvements to the capabilities of the fire department that would have to be assessed upon Corrections.
