- Sick Leave Pay Rates for Dual Certifications. Employees who hold dual certifications and who work at least 50% of their hours in the higher certification from April 1 to November 30 shall have their sick leave benefits paid at the higher rate between December 1 and March 31. They will be paid at the rate at which they are working immediately prior to taking sick leave from March 31 to November 30.

Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.
