Twelve Hour Shifts. On occasions when employees are required to work a twelve-hour shift or longer, the shift shall include a paid lunch period.
Twelve Hour Shifts. Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.
Twelve Hour Shifts. An employee shall receive an annual vacation in accordance with his/her hours of employment as follows:
(1) less than 1,950 hours - 12.5 working hours for each 162.5 hours of service;
(2) 1,950 hours up to 19,500 hours - 150 working hours;
(3) 19,500 but less than 48,750 hours - 187.5 working hours;
(4) more than 48,750 hours - 225 working hours;
(5) the minimum of vacation leave that can be taken is one (1) hour.
Twelve Hour Shifts. For twelve (12) hour shifts, the rest between shifts commitment will be ten (10) hours; otherwise, the commitments in 8. 9 shall apply.
Twelve Hour Shifts. (i) An employee is eligible to accumulate sick leave with full pay at a rate of fifteen (15) working hours for each 162.5 hours of service.
(ii) Notwithstanding Clause 22.02 (b)(i), an employee hired after May 4, 2004 is eligible to accumulate sick leave with full pay at a rate of seven point five (7.5) working hours for each 162.5 hours of service.
(iii) The maximum amount of sick leave which may be awarded to an employee during any consecutive twenty (20) year period of service shall not exceed thirty six hundred (3600) working hours.
(iv) Notwithstanding Clause 22.02 (b)(iii), the maximum number of days of sick leave which may be awarded to an employee hired after May 4, 2004 during any consecutive twenty (20) year period of service shall not exceed eighteen hundred (1800) hours.
Twelve Hour Shifts. Members assigned to twelve (12) hour shifts will be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) time for any hours worked in excess of twelve (12) hours per work day or any regular hours actually worked in excess of 84 hours during the fourteen day work period.
Twelve Hour Shifts. A Nurse who is requested by the Employer to report back to work on a scheduled day off with less than six (6) hours’ notice will be paid one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular hourly rate of pay with a guaranteed minimum of four (4) hours, if not canceled one hour before the start of the shift. A Nurse who is requested to report back to work to a previously scheduled shift within one hour of notification of cancellation of that shift will not receive short notice pay. When the Nurse’s regular scheduled workday begins, the Nurse will be paid at regular rates, regardless of the number of overtime hours worked the previous day. A Nurse who is scheduled for and works a twelve (12) hour shift who is requested to work prior to the normal start time of her/his assigned shift will be paid at double time for all early hours worked.
Twelve Hour Shifts. 1) Employees on twelve-hour shifts will be paid at straight time for the first eighty (80) hours in their scheduled two (2) week shift.
2) Additional scheduled hours will be paid at time and one half (1½x) the employees’ regular hourly rate.
3) Employees working shifts on a twenty-four (24) hour continuous operation shall receive a twenty (20) minute paid lunch break during their normal work day and four (4) paid breaks each of fifteen (15) minutes duration. Two (2) breaks will occur before lunch and two (2) breaks will occur after lunch.
Twelve Hour Shifts. A nurse who works a twelve (12) hour shift that begins no earlier than 0700 and no later than 0900 shall receive no evening or night shift differential, except that a nurse who works two (2) or more hours beyond the scheduled shift shall be paid an evening shift differential of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour for all hours worked beyond the scheduled shift. A nurse who works a twelve (12) hour shift that begins no earlier than 1000 and no later than 1400 shall receive the evening shift differential for all hours worked on the shift, except that a nurse who works two (2) or more hours beyond the scheduled shift shall be paid a night shift differential of five dollars ($5.00) per hour for all hours worked beyond the scheduled shift. A nurse whose shift commences at 1900 shall receive the night shift differential for all hours worked, including hours worked into the day shift. The parties shall mutually agree in writing to
Twelve Hour Shifts. 25.10.1. In any arrangement of working hours where the working hours are to exceed eight on any shift, the arrangement of hours will be subject to agreement between the employer and the majority of employees concerned.
25.10.2. Except in cases of emergency, at least one week's notice will be given to an employee going on night duty.
