- Sick Leave Termination. Employees who terminate for any reason, including retirement, shall not receive cash payment for accrued sick leave. All eligibility for sick leave with pay shall be cancelled upon separation of the employee from the City service, provided that if such separation is by layoff, this accumulated eligibility may be restored to the employee in whole or in part by the City Manager upon reemployment.
