Common use of Special Merit Advancement Clause in Contracts

Special Merit Advancement. The Board of Directors may, upon the recommendation of the Manager, authorize advancement of an employee to any of the last four steps, (Steps "B" through "E"), earlier than the employee normally would be eligible by virtue of length of service. Such action is reserved for very exceptional cases, and shall be approved only after being carefully analyzed. A special merit advancement need not affect or change the date of a subsequent regular merit increase.
